Is homosexuality wrong?

Are people born homosexual?
"If a man has sexual relations with another man as a man does with a woman, these two men have done a hateful sin. They must be put to death. They have brought it on themselves. (Leviticus 20:13 NCV)
It would be contrary to God's character for him to create a person to be homosexual when his laws call for death because of it.

If people aren't born homosexual, then where do those feelings come from?
They knew God, but they did not give glory to God or thank him. Their thinking became useless. Their foolish minds were filled with darkness. They said they were wise, but they became fools. They traded the glory of God who lives forever for the worship of idols made to look like earthly people, birds, animals, and snakes. Because they did these things, God left them and let them go their sinful way, wanting only to do evil. As a result, they becae full of sexual sin, using their bodies wrongly with each other. Sin causes unnatural feelings within us. Only by staying close to God on a daily basis can we overcome the temptations that constantly face us.

How can people overcome their homosexual feelings?
The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone has. But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 NCV)

When people are tempted and still continue strong, they should be happy. After they have proved their faith, God will reward them with life forever. God promised this to all those who love him. (James 1:12 NCV)

Anyone who knows the right thing to do, but does not do it, is sinning. (James 4:17 NCV)
People can overcome homosexual feelings in the same way that people can overcome heterosexual temptations- by looking to God for help, resolving to stand firm, and avoiding tempting situations.

Can God forgive homosexual sin?
